My TBR for 2025

Posted: Tuesday, December 31, 2024

TBR List time again! I can’t believe that another year is already over. In 2024, I was just shy of my goal of 100 books. In total, I read 93: 3 manga, 4 poetry books, 1 short story collection, and 85 novels (big and small). 13 of these books were by self-published authors!

Last year, I made a list of 25 books I wanted to read, but since I’m consistently getting close to my goal of 100 books a year, I decided to expand a bit. I aim to read at least 10 books by self-published/indie authors in the new year!

I’ve made a list of 50 books for 2025 that I definitely want to read. The other 50 will come to me throughout the year. I’ve arranged them below in alphabetical order, but I don’t want to be locked in, so I’ll read them in any order I choose. (Books with an * are self-published.)

I’ll be reading the books above in whatever order they come to me, or in an order that gives me some breathing room (not a bunch of classics in a row, or multiple multi-book series in a row). This year, I endeavour to read at least 10 self-published books (ARC or otherwise). I usually find ARCs on BookSirens, and I’m hoping to attend more local book events to buy books directly from the authors. I love when authors or publishers themselves reach out asking me to review a book of theirs!

Let me know if you’ve read any of these books yourself and what you thought of them! Please also share your own TBR lists!
