This book is a custom order. Once the text was edited, I used InDesign for typesetting. The total page count ended up being 348 pages, ad I split it into thirteen signatures (with six or seven pages each). Instead of my usual 24 lb writing paper, I used a 20 lb cream paper so the book would be lighter and thinner.

It took two tries to make this cover, but I eventually settled on a soft grey leather with brown and black card stock for the spine. I bound the book using the French Link stitch method and reinforced the spine with glue and bookbinding mesh. For the end sheets, I used the same paper as the novel, unprinted, and glued it in.

This project has been ongoing for a long time, as I did everything—developmental editing, copyediting, and designing as well as the printing and binding.
