This book has 12 sheets of paper made specifically for watercolour painting, though it can also be used for other mediums like gouache (water-based paint designed to be opaque) or ink.

For the cover, I used an embroidered fabric with a cotton and viscose (cactus silk) blend base; I specifically cut it so that the spine is centred, and the front and back are mirrored. The whole cover is one piece so the pattern can spread across the whole thing, and I used a golden waxed thread to match the colours and also blend into the spine. The inside uses plain brown and black so that the artist’s painting will really pop.

With all 12 sheets folded in half, this book has a total of 24 pages for different paintings, 48 if the painter uses both sides of the page.
