This notebook was another of my slough of new books. I was trying a few new things with this batch, as you can see from the longstitch variation on the spine and the pattern of the cover materials I used.

This book is just a plain lined notebook with a decent number of pages to write in, and I went with an oldstyle design with the Italian wool blend fabric and the patterned interior cardstock. Along the spine, I used a sheet of flexible leather (from a sample book of leathers) since it was the perfect size. When stitching the spine, I used the typical long stitch pattern, but on the last signature, I collected all the threads together to make this sort-of starburst pattern.
