For this guided reflection journal, I once again used the leather binding method. The pages, like all our notebooks, were design in-house and printed on quality Strathmore sandstone paper. This book contains 240 pages, which provides 24 weeks of daily check-ins, end-of-week reflections, and a starting and ending page to tie everything together.

I used a makeshift sewing frame while stitching the twin in place with a plain white waxed thread. Once it was secure, I rounded the spine and applied glue. I once again hand-stitched the headbands for this book, using two shades of green.

The leather I used is arctic bull, and I chose it for its flexibility and softness. After attaching the cover boards via the twine, I glued the leather to it. This is the only type of binding I use that creates the spine while attaching it, rather than preparing it ahead of time.

Once everything was secure and in place, I added the interior paper, then did the final touches. The edges of the pages have been painted with sage green, and I similarly stamped a letter into the front bottom corner with the same green. This is both to distinguish the front of the book and to give it a bit of personality.
