I used another cross-stitch variation when stitching this book, stitching two signatures at a time, giving it this cross-hatch pattern. I decided to use my purple waxed thread because it fit well with all the blues. For both the spine and the inside covers, I used blue or blue-and-green cardstock to continue with the theme.
