I’m able to price this book so low (despite it also being handbound) because the material costs are so low. The paper I’ve used is just plain white copy paper like you’d have in the printer at home, rather than my usual thicker, specially ordered writing paper. It’s a notebook for people who don’t mind a bit of ink bleeding through but still want something fancy to write in.
I like the idea of the front of the book have a different cover than the back, so I chose two decorative papers that I liked that work well together, and swapped them on the inside.
For the spine, I used two different thread colours so I could intertwine them while stitching the cross-stitch pattern. I’m getting quite good at this new style with all the recent practice.
