This notebook is made with real leather! This is the first notebook in which I used the collection of leather I received from a work colleague of my parents. I love the feel and smell of leather, and it makes me feel good knowing that this material isn’t just going to be thrown out but can instead be used to make beautiful and unique books. No waste!
This was also the time when I bought a bunch of fancy interior papers for my books, and I chose a blue paper with snowflakes, since it was around the time of year for snow. The blue also pairs beautifully with the grey of the leather.
I used the Coptic stitch method to bind this one, a method I’m not the biggest fan of, mainly because I like giving my books spines (rather than leaving the spine exposed). I used a blue waxed embroidery floss to match the interior paper.
