This book is also part of my animal crests set. Each notebook carries one of five unique crests I’ve designed—this one is the red lion!

As another casebound book, I stitched the pages using the French link stitch method; I like the flexibility as well as the sturdiness of this stitch. From there, I put the book in the press, aligned the pages, and applied a layer of glue. After letting it dry, a second layer of glue, this time with the book cloth (for added stability), was added, along with the head bands.

I used black paper for the end pages, which is a favourite of mine, for gluing the text block into the cover, which is made using a single sheet of red plush velvet.
