The idea for this notebook is to have the elegant, glossy silver fabric for the outside, and a burst of colour to greet you when you open it. Therefore, I chose a silky silver fabric and a progression of rainbow-coloured construction paper (for its vibrancy and texture).

In addition, each of the five signatures (group of pages) is enfolded in a different colour of construction paper—red, orange, yellow, green, or blue. Given the excitement of the colourful pages, I’ve chosen to leave the corners plain (no imprint), giving a full spread of the page for writing.

The interior paper of the book is white construction paper, and a fun surprise I included was using the extra pieces of coloured paper to make a pattern on the inside. Something you’ll notice are the peep holes though the front and back cover, so not only can you see the pages through the spine, you can also see them through the front and back.
